Keyboard shortcuts
Uniweb is a visual app, and almost everything is done by clicking. The keys below are the ones that actually do something today.
Undo works at two levels, while the editor is open. While you type in a text, Cmd/Ctrl + Z undoes your typing. Everything else — sections and pages added, deleted, moved or renamed, their settings, theme changes — is undone with the Undo and Redo buttons in the editor's header (or the keys, outside a text), which name the change, such as "Undo: Deleted section". Text you've finished editing isn't on that history: change it back instead. Both are cleared when you reload or leave the editor.
In the editor
| Keys | What they do |
|---|---|
| Escape | Close the open menu or dialog — the most recently opened one first |
| Enter / Escape | Confirm or cancel renaming a page or a section, while the name is being edited |
| Cmd/Ctrl + Z, Cmd/Ctrl + Shift + Z (or Ctrl + Y on Windows) | Undo and redo — your typing, while you're in a text; otherwise changes to sections and pages, their settings, and theme changes |
| Cmd/Ctrl + click | Open an item from a picker grid in a new browser tab; on a Hub site card (or a middle-click), open the site in a new tab; in Records, add an entry to a multi-selection |
| ← / → | Move between templates in the template preview |
| Cmd/Ctrl + R, Cmd/Ctrl + P | Reload and print, as in any browser page |
There is no save shortcut. Pages and sites save as you go; a record's page (a Testimonial, say) has a Save button, and leaving it with unsaved changes asks first.
Everywhere else
Uniweb follows the browser you are already using: Tab moves between controls, Enter activates the focused one, and Escape closes what is open. Text fields behave like text fields anywhere — copy, paste and select-all are your system's own shortcuts.
